On the occasion of the anniversary of three years of death of Vesna Kesić, her feminist friends continue annual online bilingual meetings and gatherings of feminist practitioners and thinkers from post-Yugoslavia and beyond.
We dedicate this third set of FEMINIST INTERVENTIONS ON THE SPOT to feminist journalism: JOURNALISTS PASSIONATE FOR SOCIAL CHANGE. Our goal is to reveal various aspects of the pioneering journalistic work of Vesna Kesić – within her framework as a cultural worker, anti-war and feminist activist. As a journalist with a distinct political nerve, Vesna Kesić wrote and worked driven by a strong passion for social change, which in the 80s she sought not only through feminism but also in the field of new, subversive culture and subculture. Which of these is relevant for us today? Journalists, writers, and activists will talk about it.
The conversation will be opened by Jasmina Kuzmanović, Ines Sabalić, Jelena Lovrić and Snježana Pavić.
